The Process
Just like traditional construction, the process begins by laying the foundation. Once the foundation is poured, the walls are then printed using a mixture of concrete, sand, water, and other additives. The walls of the home are printed layer by layer, similar to piping frosting. The exterior walls are 10” thick and hollow in the middle to allow for installation of structural columns, for mechanicals and insulation. Once all the walls have been printed, workers then install the doors, windows, and roofing in the traditional methods. The printing process creates a truly unique look to the walls of the home once it is complete.
